ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a resourceful, earnest and hardworking Account Assistant to join our team. In this position, you’ll support our Account Executives, Directors and Founder on a rapidly growing list of acclaimed clients that span world-renowned architects, interior designers, developers, travel companies and hotels across the country. This individual must thrive in thoughtful communication in a fast-paced, autonomous environment. Those who enjoy a small-company-feel while working on high profile projects and who are fulfilled by doing their best work should apply. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As an Account Assistant, you will...

  • Assist with general daily office and administrative duties;

  • Draft and organize account reports and clips;

  • Draft agendas, media lists, press kit materials and assist with media calendars and project uploads;

  • Work with an account team to implement press strategies for multiple clients;

  • Industry research of local media, relevant lifestyle, design, real estate magazines, online outlets; and maintain our media database;

  • Manage lists, invitations and run-of-shows for events;

  • Assist with award submissions on behalf of clients and the firm;

  • Help with content creation for Agency PR and clients social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn).

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE...

  • Has at least 2 years of professional administrative experience;

  • Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects: Has outstanding project management skills, with the ability to prioritize work streams and track progress across multiple teams. You have an ability to handle multiple projects at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail;

  • Is resourceful. When given the opportunity, this person is quick to research, suggest solutions, and connect the dots without a ton of oversight.

  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Versatile writer who is comfortable and well-versed in writing in an informal, conversational tone and addressing people more formally when necessary.

  • Is a team player. You have the ability to work with a team to meet group objectives, pinch hit if someone is out of the office (and know that the rest of the team will do the same for you!). 

  • Is proactive, organized and takes ownership of projects and relationships. You must have a strong ability to balance multiple projects concurrently, prioritize, and take ownership of projects and relationships, and raise your hand to learn and to call for backup. 

  • Is skilled in Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, etc) and MuckRack. 

  • Must be willing to travel for client and company obligations

  • Must be able to occasionally work night/weekend hours

  • Diligent attention to detail

  • Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated


WORKING AT AGENCY PR

Agency PR will make sure that you have what you need to excel in your role, including:

  • Salary: $37,500 - $42,500 (based on experience)

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Agency PR is seeking an Account Executive to join our team. In this position you’ll work closely with our Founder, Account Directors, Content Marketing Strategists and Account Assistants on a rapidly growing list of acclaimed clients that span world-renowned architects, developers, urban planners, interior designers, engineers, restaurants, travel companies and hotels across the country. 

You will lead daily client relations, plan and execute day-to-day project deliverables, create strategies, manage campaigns and promote programs that drive media coverage, persuade stakeholders and grow coalitions in support of your client’s priorities. You will support and lead junior staff and conceptualize strategies, pitches and media placements. 

This role not only leads the day-to-day, but sees around the corners to anticipate clients’ needs and quickly assess the optimal team approach to meet them. Working closely with client leads and internal staff, this position will manage up and down, delegating to peers and junior staff and developing and advancing strategy with senior leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who carries a passion for architecture, design and urban planning and the role it plays in society.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As an Account Executive, you will...

  • Place numerous stories through persistence and creativity, identifying new targets and trying new approaches until the story lands.

  • Drive high-touch, daily client communications with the client leads: brainstorming, flagging concerns and problem-solving

  • Conceptualize and drive new story angles and other media opportunities for clients: such as landing feature stories even when there is no news to announce, or drafting a persuasive and compelling pitch on behalf of a client for a high-profile interview, award or conference.

  • Have the ability to confidently communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients, and the media. 

  • Have existing relationships with reporters and a strong news sense.

  • Have a proven ability to become a savvy and nimble student of the “news” and quickly identify new media opportunities and narratives to insert our clients’ voices into the news cycle.

  • Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects. Has outstanding project management skills, with the ability to prioritize work streams and track progress across multiple teams. Project briefs change, deadlines move. It’s the nature of the business, and not only can you keep up with our fast-paced process, you thrive off of it. You have an ability to handle multiple projects at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

  • Can write short form and long form bylines on a range of thought-leadership topics.

  • Contribute to business development and growth efforts.

  • Is proactive, organized and takes ownership of projects and relationships. You must have a strong ability to balance multiple projects concurrently, prioritize, and take ownership of projects and relationships. 

  • Coordinate across internal and external teams to deploy integrated services to meet your clients’ goals


OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE...

  • Has at least 4+ years of strategic communications experience: in-house, media, or journalism; PR agency experience preferred

  • Has real estate, design, architecture, development, engineering, travel and/or hospitality marketing or PR expertise 

  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to provide multiple examples of materials that clearly demonstrate these capabilities.

  • Is resourceful. When given the opportunity, this person is quick to research, suggest solutions, and connect the dots without a ton of oversight.

  • Versatile writer who is comfortable and well-versed in writing in an informal, conversational tone and addressing people more formally when necessary.
