The STORY

 

How does an architecture firm that has been around for 85-years launch a new arm of their business that is simultaneously fresh and new? We were up for the challenge.

Our team launched interior hospitality powerhouse, UCO Studio, the interiors arm of world-renowned architectural firm, OBMI. We created a design narrative that seamlessly positioned UCO as a stand-alone firm that was backed with the support and expertise of OBMI. We also secured an interview with UCO President, Eric Ullmann, with Hospitality Design so that he could articulate exactly how two separate brands will work together. And it worked, almost immediately new business phone calls and emails were fired off securing new work and instantaneous status in the hospitality design world.

We were surgical in our approach and in the timing of the exclusive so we could parlay it with a major announcement of UCO’s role in their first US-based project, Hyatt Centric Austin, which was announced publicly immediately following the UCO launch. This way we were able to infiltrate the media with back-to-back announcements while the launch was still at the forefront of people’s minds.
